A drug dealer has been jailed after being caught red-handed with a bag filled with heroin and cocaine.
Officers were investigating early morning reports of someone banging on doors when they bumped into Anton Scott.
The 23-year-old was standing with no shoes on in the middle of Woodborough Road, St Ann’s, Nottingham – when police arrived at 2.05 a.m. on 6 February 2023.
At that point, Scott refused to leave the scene and started to act more and more suspiciously, which prompted police to carry out a search at the roadside.
This quickly led to officers discovering a bag inside one of his pockets, which contained 35 individual wraps of heroin and cocaine.
Scott was subsequently arrested at the scene and was later charged with two counts of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.
He would go on to insist the drugs found on him were for personal use until the morning of his trial on 1 August, when he pleaded guilty to the charges against him.
Scott, of Florey Walk, Clifton, returned to Nottingham Crown Court on Tuesday (12 September), where he was handed a prison sentence of two years and eight months.
