The ducks were rescued by the castle’s maintenance team!
Newark Castle teams were involved in reusing this family of ducks who had become trapped in the dungeon.
A spokesperson for Newark Castle said:
‘When a family of ducks decided to wing their way into the dungeons at Newark Castle, the specquakular Andy and Tom from our Grounds Maintenance team did a QUACKING job of rescuing the little family and returning them home to the river!’
