Firefighters save man running across rooftops to evade police after cannabis grow discovery

A man tried to evade arrest by walking across the roof of houses after police uncovered a cannabis grow in the early hours of the morning.
Officers attended an address in East Street in Sutton-in-Ashfield at around 1am on Sunday, 9 October.

Officers were called to a disturbance and on arrival noticed the house contained 80 to 100 cannabis plants and equipment.

A man then forced his way through roof tiles of the property and tried to escape from the address by walking along the roof of adjoining properties.

He was eventually brought down with the assistance of firefighters.
