Last week saw several successful dining sittings happen as students got to cook and serve the public, for the first time, following months of studying online in lockdown.
Following a very successful sold-out opening Gala Launch Evening on Wednesday 19th May – where old friends and customers returned and fresh faces arrived to be greeted by eager students, who could not wait to serve and work in a bustling environment, now that lockdown is easing.
Fletchers Restauran
Fletchers’ new home is located on the south side of the city offering high quality contemporary dining in real working environment for Nottingham College students. The unique element of this new dining experience is that at Fletchers, the food is prepared and served by the students who are studying catering and hospitality courses at the College alongside a skilled head chef Jim Tippett.
Fletchers restaurant is one of the newest dining locations in Nottingham city centre and offers a regular lunchtime service served on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday between 12pm and 1.30pm, where the men
In the evenings, the restaurant is set to be open Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday and will host special menus these can be five course extravaganzas takeover evenings or specially themed evenings focusing on local ingredients.
Some of these distinctive evenings are hosted with graduated alumni, who now own their own eateries and businesses or have appeared on shows like MasterChef The Profession
These alumni return to work with our students to research, prepare and serve unique menus at fantastic prices that you will not experience anywhere else.
For those who used to visit the Adams restaurant in the historic Adams building you can still expect the same quality, professional service and atmosphere and ambience, but in a new more contemporary setting in our new building, the City Hub, which is situated in the south side of the city, only 5 mins from the Nottingham train station. Fletchers is accessible via tram bus there is a taxi drop-off point, but there is no on-site parking.
Upcoming nights in May include a spice night. Which will be a whistle stop tour of some of the world’s cuisine with a touch of spice with highlights from the Middle East, the Caribbean and onto Mexico. In June you can look forward to a specialist vegetarian menu and a taste of all things British with a trio of menus; the Coastline Menu,
