Footprints Charity announces relocation new site in Clifton

Footprints announce they will be moving to a brand new home in Clifton.

The Nottingham-based charity who transform the lives of children and families living with disabilities across the East Midlands, will be moving from their current centre in Sneinton to their new home in Clifton. This will become the brand-new Footprints Centre, home of Footprints Conductive Education and Community Hub (formally Highbank Community Centre on Farnborough Road in Clifton).

The new location will be Footprints’ site and bring exciting opportunities, with better facilities for all of the families and children they support, organisations they work with and the local community.

The new Footprints Centre plans to have three session rooms, a well-being coffee bar for families and the community, and new facilities including a sensory room, function space and outdoor education areas.

Footprints have been working hard behind the scenes for several years, as finding a home for their charity is one of their key priorities, and they’re delighted to have found this in Clifton.

Stephen Frew, Footprints’ Business and Charity Manager said “Moving to our new centre in Clifton is an absolute game changer for Footprints. As a charity that supports children and families with mobility and communication difficulties, we must provide a space which is accessible and suitable for all of our needs, now and in the future. And we’re so pleased to have found this at Clifton!

At our brand-new Footprints Centre, we will be able to deliver a greater number of our transformative services and reach more families and children, with more flexible and purposeful session rooms and outdoor sensory areas. Our centre will also have a wellbeing coffee bar, not only for our families to use but also for the community around us.

We can’t wait to join the incredibly supportive community in Clifton and get started on the exciting work to transform what was the Highbank Community Centre, into the Footprints Centre!”

The charity won’t be moving straight away as there is a little work to do to get the new site ready, and they will soon be recruiting a Footprints team of volunteers to help them get the centre ready. You can contact them at enquiries@footprintscec.org to register your interest in this exciting transformation.
