Gritting update from Nottinghamshire County Council.
Saturday 11 January 6pm on main routes, then snow routes with road surface temperatures forecast as low as -3.4
The five-day forecast suggests the gritters will be out again Sunday -2.9. Watch out also, for freezing fog patches.
Previous runs: On Saturday 11 January gritters went out at 8am for road temperatures as low as -6.7. On Friday 10 January, they went at 6.30pm on main routes, followed by snow routes and at 8.30am, gritters treated main routes, with road temperatures to -6.7.
On Thursday 9 January 7pm main routes were gritted followed by snow routes, road temperatures to -6.6O. Thursday, 9 January main routes were gritted from 9.30am: road temperatures to -6.5. Gritters went out on Wednesday 8 Jan 7.30 pm, on main routes followed by snow routes and main routes at 11 am. They went out on Tuesday night at 18.30. The teams are on 24-hour stand-by and we are constantly monitoring weather conditions.
