An adult and two children were treatred for smoke inhalation.
Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service said:
‘At 3:17 am this morning (Sunday 20 November) we were called to a fire in Fairisle Close, Clifton, following calls from members of the public who had seen smoke.
‘The fire was in a house split into two flats – the fire was in the flat on the 1st floor of the property.
‘Two fire engines from London Road Fire Station attended, one from West Bridgford and one from Highfields.
‘Firefighters used breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire, which they did so at around 4am.
‘Three causalities from the 1st floor flat were treated at the scene by EMAS for smoke inhalation – an adult thought to be in their 30s and two young children.
‘Residents from neighbouring properties were temporarily evacuated.
‘The police also attended and a joint police and fire investigation will take place later this morning.’
