Police investigating a shoplifting incident where staff were assaulted want to speak to these two teenagers.
Officers were called to Asda, in Front Street, Arnold, following reports two people had assaulted staff while trying to steal items.
Two teenage girls were challenged by shopworkers as they left the store with a backpack containing items staff suspected they hadn’t paid for.
The bag was then searched and found to contain a pot noodle, laundry products, alcohol and a can of hair dye.
Having confronted the duo at the door, one staff member was kicked and punched to the arm, leg and chest, while another was struck in the stomach with a metal trolley.
The two suspects then fled from the scene.
Officers have been investigating the incident since it happened – around 5pm on 15 August – and can now release this image of two people they’d like to speak to.
Sergeant Karl Wilson, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“Our belief is that these two teenage girls will have information that could really assist our ongoing investigation.
“As such, we’d ask that they make themselves known, or that anyone who recognises them shares this information with the police, so that we can ask them a few questions.”
