Detectives investigating after teenagers were targeted in a street robbery have released CCTV images of two people they want to speak to.
The two victims were walking along Exchange Walk, Nottingham city, when three young men on mountain bikes rode past them.
When they reached Old Market Square, the victims were approached by three other males on foot before the trio on bikes reappeared.
The young men on foot then demanded one of the victims empty his pockets and hand over his sunglasses and hat.
While he was handing these items over, the second victim was forced to take off a chain and give it to one of the offenders.
Officers have been carrying out an investigation into the incident, which took place around 1.15pm on 27 January 2024, by studying CCTV footage and making a number of other local inquiries.
Detective Constable Steve Willetts, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“This robbery must have been an upsetting ordeal for the two young victims.
“Officers have been supporting them and their families while carrying out our investigation.
“We have made real progress, and are now in a position to release these images of two people who could have important information.
“Anyone who recognises them should get in touch with police immediately.
“If you were in the city centre that Saturday afternoon and witnessed anything which could help with our inquiries, or have any relevant dash-cam or mobile phone footage, please let us know.”
Anyone with any information should call police on 101, quoting incident number 431 of 27 January 2024, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
