Image shared by police after sexual assault on a Nottingham bus

Officers investigating a sexual assault have released an image of a man they’d like to speak to.

A teenage girl got up to leave the number 58 bus in High Street, Arnold, when a man who was sitting next to her reportedly touched her bottom.

The incident happened around 5.50 pm on Monday (11 March 2024).

PC Lindsey Barrett, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:

“Everyone should be able to feel safe when using public transport. Incidents such as these can cause considerable distress to any victim and are totally unacceptable.

“We take all reports of sexual assaults seriously and we really want to speak to the man in the image as we believe he may have information that could aid our investigation.

“I am urging anyone who recognises the man pictured to please let us know. If you have any information that could help, please call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 682 of 11 March 2024. Alternatively, please call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
