Fire crews from Stapleford and Long Eaton attended the blaze on Sunday evening.
Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service said:
‘Crews were alerted to a report of a shed fire off Derby Road in Stapleford.
Our fire control room staff took a number of 999 calls from members of the public, with the first call being received at 4:55 pm on Sunday 19 November.
‘When we arrived the fire was threatening a number of properties and a shared house giving us concerns for the residents.
‘We quickly deployed a team of firefighters with a hose reel jet wearing breathing apparatus and requested the support of a second fire crew.
‘Green Watch from Long Eaton Fire Station were sent to help.
‘We believe that the cause of this fire was deliberate and Nottinghamshire Police are making enquires across the area. If you have information, please get in touch with the police via 101 or contact Fire Stoppers on 0800 169 5558.
11 firefighters attended the scene and the incident was closed at 1900.
