Kitchen knife wielded in a Lenton street leads to charges for suspect

A man is due to appear in court after a kitchen knife was wielded in the street.

Police were called to Coleby Avenue, Lenton, shortly after midnight on Tuesday, July 30 after a confrontation between neighbours was reported.

During the argument, it is alleged a man wielded a kitchen knife and made threats.

A man from Lenton has been charged with possession of a knife blade in a public place.

The 50-year-old has been granted bail and is due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on 14 August.
