A community association reacts to service changes on the NCT Green 11 service.
A spokesperson for Lady Bay Community Association said:
‘We are asking everyone to please use the 11 bus as much as you can this week, as it’s the last week that the service will run every 20 minutes.
‘The overwhelming reason for the reduction according to NCT, is the drop in numbers in 2025 and there are various reasons for this (delays/cancellations caused by football parking, the sink hole and the service extension to Cropwell Bishop, the bus fare cap increase to £3, dry, mild weather in early/mid 2025 increasing active travel, etc.)
‘Only by more people using the bus more often can we hope to retain or reclaim a more frequent service. Please help if you can.’
From 11 January the service has a revised Monday to Saturday timetable, with the frequency between City and Lady Bay every 30 minutes instead of 20 minutes. Buses to Water Sports Centre and Cropwell Bishop remain every hour.
