The A52 in Nottinghamshire is closed eastbound between the A6011 (Gamston) and the A46 (Saxondale) due to a collision between two HGVs.

‘We have been made aware of a road traffic collision (RTC) on the A52 just beyond Gamston. As a result, the outbound carriageway has been closed by police, and significant delays are anticipated.

‘There has been an RTC on the A52 on the section of road between Gamston Depot and Radcliffe.
‘Whilst we do not serve this road, traffic will use alternative routes in the area around the road closure, including through Tollerton and Cotgrave, which is likely to delay Green 11/B.
‘Nottingham Forest also play at home tonight, with kick off at 20:00, and we expect delays to Navy and Green Line services as fans make their way to/from the City Ground.’

Emergency services including Nottinghamshire Police are in attendance. National Highways Traffic Officers are also on scene assisting with traffic management.
Diversion Details
Traffic is being diverted via the following route:
- Exit the A52 Gamston Island and take the exit onto the A6011 towards Nottingham.
- Follow the A6011 for approx. 2.8km and at the signalised junction just past Lady Bay Bridge, turn right onto Meadow Lane.
- As the next roundabout, take the second exit onto the A612 and follow for approx. 11.5km until the roundabout in the village of Lowdham.
- Take the last exit onto the A6097 and continue until the roundabout with the A46.
- Take the A46 southbound to rejoin the eastbound A52 at Saxondale Island.
