Police are appealing for the public’s help to find a man who has gone missing in Derbyshire.
SUNDAY – The man who went missing from his home in Lowdham, Nottinghamshire, on Thursday 10 July has been found safe and well.
He left his home in Lowdham, Nottinghamshire, on Thursday 10 July to go walking in the Derbyshire countryside but his whereabouts is currently unknown.
Police said:
‘The 77-year-old could be camping out in a green tent in the Peak District and may have visited a number of locations including The George pub at Alstonefield, close to Dovedale, and other pubs in and around Buxton.
‘It is also thought that he drove his white Ford Focus car to Biggin Dale to go walking.
‘He wears glasses, has grey hair, is of medium build and is 5ft 9ins tall.
‘It is believed he is wearing light-coloured beige trousers, a beige top, light blue fleece and walking boots which have an orange sole on them.
‘We are growing increasingly concerned for his welfare.
‘Anyone who has seen him since he went missing or knows his whereabouts now is asked to contact Derbyshire Police on 101 and please quote incident number 1551 of July 11.’
