Conscious clothing brand Lucy & Yak opened the doors of its fourth UK shop in Nottingham today Saturday 18 February with long queues forming outside the store.
The shop is located at 11 Poultry, ( formerly JoJo Maman Bebe ) a prime location in the heart of the city surrounded by a range of other businesses such as independent coffee shops, restaurants and retail stores.
The launch follows the successful opening of the brand’s two newest stores in Bristol and Norwich, which have already proven just as popular with the Yak community as the beloved flagship store in Brighton, located on the bustling North Laine.
These new bricks and mortar stores are part of Lucy & Yak’s ambitions to have a greater physical presence across the UK, and more opportunities for face-to-face interactions with the Yak community.
More locations are already planned for the remainder of 2023, with the hope that each shop can become a Re:Yak Hub – a space for customers to recycle, repair or upcycle their clothes.
Lucy Greenwood, co-founder of Lucy & Yak, said:
“We are so excited to be open in Nottingham, and can’t wait to be a part of a city full of arts, culture and history. We’re really looking forward to having a shop in the East Midlands, in such a connected city like Nottingham, so we’re able to reach even more of our community and continue building our Re:yak network.”
