Highways England traffic officers are at the scene.
In and update at 11:14 am 23 April they confirm one lane has reopened – lane two is still closed.
Highways England said:
‘The M1 northbound J24A (A50) to J25 (A52 Nottingham Derby) two lanes have been closed due to a collision.
‘Traffic Officers are currently at the scene.

‘Congestion building on the approach.’
AA Roadwatch reports:
‘One lane closed due to accident, multiple vehicles involved on M1 Northbound from J24 A50 (Nottingham South / East Midlands Airport) to J25 A52 Brian Clough Way (Nottingham / Derby). Traffic is coping well. Lanes one (of four) is closed.’
