Detectives investigating two robberies have arrested three teenage suspects.
Officers were called to two incidents in the Rushcliffe area on Monday (31 March) in which robberies were carried out by three masked offenders.
The first incident took place outside The Griffin Plumtree pub, in Main Road, Plumtree, around 12.45pm when a motorcycle was stolen.
When the owner of the bike tried to intervene he reported being threatened with a hammer.
Investigations have revealed the offenders used another motorbike, which had been reported missing from a car park in Radcliffe Road, West Bridgford, on 29 March, to carry out the robbery.
Police were then called to Nottingham Knight Island at 2.17pm where a cyclist reported being threatened with a knife and forced to hand over his pushbike.
A team of detectives has been investigating the incidents, which are believed to be linked, by analysing CCTV footage and carrying out other inquiries.
Three boys, aged 14, 16 and 17, have been arrested on suspicion of both robberies.
Detective Sergeant Sarah Gregg, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“Our investigation is progressing at pace and these three arrests are an important development.
“We understand the impact robberies of this nature can have on victims even when they are not physically harmed.
“I hope the victims in these incidents, and other members of the community, welcome our response and these arrests.
“Our investigation is ongoing and I would continue to ask anyone with information or relevant footage to get in touch.”
Anyone who can assist should call 101, quoting incident number 358 of 31 March 2025, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
