Detectives have charged a man in connection with both a burglary and a separate bike theft.
Police were called to a house in Queens Drive, The Meadows, following reports of a break-in.
It is estimated that around £30,000 worth of items, as well as cash, were taken during the burglary on 25 March 2022.
Officers also received reports a few weeks earlier that a bike had been stolen from the corner of Carrington Street and Canal Street, Nottingham city centre.
It is believed that lock cutters were used to remove the bicycle from a bike stand during the middle of the day on 27 February 2022.
Craig Fallon, 37, appeared before Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Thursday (21 April 2022) after being charged with burglary and theft.
Fallon, of Bestwood Road, Bestwood, appeared before Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Thursday (21 April 2022), where he was remanded in custody.
He is due to appear before Nottingham Crown Court on 19 May 2022.
Detective Sergeant Emma Pollard, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We have now charged a suspect in connection with these two incidents and he has now appeared before the courts, which represents a positive step in our investigation.
“As you might imagine, being burgled and having your belongings stolen is hugely upsetting and can have a lasting impact on victims beyond just the monetary value of the items taken.
“It’s precisely for this reason why we rank tackling burglaries and thefts as such a high priority, with Nottinghamshire Police having dedicated burglary teams who work proactively to help prevent these kinds of incidents from happening.”
