A Nottingham man has been remanded in prison after a cannabis grow and hundreds of wraps of Class A drugs were found following a car being stopped in Pinxton.
A Ford Mondeo was stopped in Town Street just after 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, 6 February. Inside the car, suspected Class A drugs were found.
A further search of an address in Watnall uncovered a significant amount of Class A drugs, which were seized.
Matthew Nelmes, of Hillcrest Close, Watnall, Nottingham, was charged with possession with intent to supply heroin and crack cocaine and the production of cannabis on 6 February and was remanded into police custody.
The 52-year-old then appeared at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates’ Court the following day, where he was further remanded in prison to appear at court at a later date.
A second man in his 30s, from Loughborough, was arrested during the same initial stop in Pinxton on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and has been released on police bail while enquiries continue.
