A man has been charged following a stabbing in the city centre.
He was reportedly attacked in Milton Street, Nottingham, shortly before 5.40am on Sunday (31 October 2021) and was taken to hospital, while a man was swiftly arrested nearby.
The victim’s injuries are not believed to be life-threating.
A 19-year-old man from Bestwood, has since been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent, possession of a bladed article and possession of a class B drug and has been remanded in custody to appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court today (Tuesday 2 November 2021).
Detective Inspector Ruby Burrow, from Nottinghamshire Police, said: “This assault left a young man in hospital and we are absolutely committed to our investigation and to determine the circumstances around this incident.
“Officers were on scene within minutes of receiving the call and took swift action which resulted in a man being charged in connection with the incident.
“Our enquiries are ongoing and anyone with additional information is asked to call police on 101 quoting incident 242 of 31 October 2021.”
