Police are investigating after a man was found with a stab wound.
The victim was attacked at around 6pm last Friday (17 June) at Forest Recreation Ground in Nottingham.
He sustained a wound to his chest was taken to hospital for treatment. His injuries were thankfully not life-threatening.
A second man who tried to prevent the attack sustained a wound to his hand.
Officers are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
Detective Constable Michael Love, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “This was a nasty assault that left two people requiring hospital treatment.
“We are working to understand the circumstances t hat led up to this attack and would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident.
“We treat any form of knife crime with the utmost seriousness and are working tirelessly to find the person of people responsible to this attack.
“Anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting incident 699 of 17 June.”
