Man robbed while in the back of a van in Rushcliffe

A man has been charged following reports that a man was robbed in the back of a van.

It is believed that a man was assaulted and had his phone taken after getting into a van as a passenger and travelling Stanton-on-the-Wolds.

He is then reported to have been forced into the back of the van and robbed, which is thought to have happened in the area around Brook Lane.

He was left with a number of injuries to his head, but none thought to be life-threatening or altering, and police were called after he escaped from the van in the Silverdale area.

“This incident left this man shaken and injured but, thankfully, he is continuing to recover. We also understand that reports such as this can cause concern for the local community and I would reassure people that local officers continue to be in the area and available to talk to anyone with concerns.

“We also believe that the people thought to be involved in this incident are known to each other and that there is no wider risk to the public.
