A police cordon is currently in place in Mansfield while officers and partner agencies investigate a suspicious package.
A spokesperson said:
‘Carter Lane is currently closed between the junctions of Skerry Hill and Rock Hill. People are advised to avoid the area while officers are at the scene.
‘There is currently no threat to the public but as a precaution roads in the vicinity have been cordoned off.
‘The incident is expected to cause traffic delays in the area for some time.
