A spokesperson for Rushcliffe Borough Council said:
‘Our Leader Cllr Neil Clarke, Deputy Leader Cllr Abby Brennan, CEO Adam Hill and management team were pleased to meet East Midlands Combined County Authority Mayor of the East Midlands, Claire Ward, CEO Amy Harhoff and ED of Place Edward Highfield on Monday 19 January.

‘Touring Rushcliffe, the group visited some of our strategic sites in Bingham, Newton, Radcliffe on Trent and West Bridgford and learn more about the Borough.
‘The visit included a discussion on the need for a new accessible bridge over the railway in Bingham, followed by a stop in Newton.

‘The group then visited Radcliffe’s Medical Centre to understand more on its extension and wider opportunities as part of an emerging local vision for the future.

‘Finally, the trip concluded through West Bridgford’s sporting quarter discussing our tourism and sports charters and a look at West Bridgford’s Central Avenue and future aspirations.
‘As these masterplans emerge, there will be public consultation so we can hear from our residents, businesses, voluntary sector and stakeholders.’
