Victoria Primary School in The Meadows in Nottingham, which is part of Nova Education Trust, is celebrating a resounding success following its recent Ofsted inspection which confirmed the school’s being graded ‘Outstanding’ for its Personal Development provision and ‘Good’ in all other areas.
The inspection, conducted in January 2025, highlighted the school’s dedication to creating a nurturing and enriching educational environment where every child can flourish.
Ofsted’s report praised Victoria Primary School as “a positive influence at the heart of the community,” acknowledging its richly-diverse pupil population, with 33 languages spoken, and its warm, inclusive ethos.
Inspectors were particularly impressed by the school’s ambitious curriculum, its commitment to exemplary pupil well-being, and the “wealth of high-quality enrichment experiences” that enable pupils to thrive.
The school’s motto “Work Hard, Be Kind” was observed as a fundamental principle, fostering a harmonious and respectful culture.
Ofsted also commended the school’s “impressive” understanding of discrimination and equality, its effective phonics teaching, and the “exemplary” personal, social, health and economic (PSHE) education curriculum, complemented by “an exceptional range of valuable assemblies”.
Inspectors noted the school’s ability to “settle pupils quickly” and ensure they “achieve well from a range of starting points,” including those new to English.
The report also highlighted the pupils’ “proud” participation in leadership roles, such as language ambassadors and “maths magicians,” and the school’s “noteworthy contribution to the wider community” through its strong engagement with parents.
Anna Froggatt, Headteacher of Victoria Primary School, said: “We are absolutely thrilled with this report. It reflects the hard work, dedication and collaborative spirit of our entire school community.
