Police have closed the road after a collision between two electric vehicles on Melton Road.
Updated – 3 pm Traffic can pass the scene
The incident happened at around 1:30 pm on Friday 16 May just past the shops and the Haddon Road junction.
The road is closed – A606 Melton Road both ways from Burleigh Road to Clumber Road.
There is a detour in operation for bus service Green 7.
Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service sent three crews to the scene, the Incident Commander told The Wire:
‘The response is necessary because one of the vehicles is a hybrid, and the other full electric which carry risks if not safely dealt with.’

‘We’ve made the vehicles safe and they are in the process of recovery.’
There was no fire at the scene of the crash.
Nottinghamshire Police officers at the scene told us that there are no injuries.

A recovery vehicle has lifted one of the stricken cars, and is in the process of carefully moving the second one.

Buses can’t serve Melton Road until the scene has cleared.
