Several cars and caravans arrived at Nursery Car Park in West Bridgford at 6:15 pm on Tuesday 1 September.
Thursday 3 September:
A Rushcliffe Borough Council spokesperson said: “We have worked with Nottinghamshire Police and the relevant partners on an unauthorised encampment at Nursery car park in West Bridgford that began on September 1.
“Legal proceedings began soon after and the group began to leave the site around 5pm on 3 September.
“We are continuing to listen and act upon any concerns of local residents and businesses affected.”
Wednesday 6 am:
An unauthorised encampment remains at Nursery Car Park ( M&S ) in West Bridgford this morning.
Around 10 vehicles are parked at random spots around the car park making it impossible for drivers to park in many of the parking spaces or to loop around the site to exit normally.
Nottinghamshire Police response officers were at the scene in two marked cars, but moved on at around 6:40 pm.
An RBC spokesperson said: “We are aware of an unauthorised encampment at Nursery car park in West Bridgford. Officers are working with Nottinghamshire Police and the relevant partners to address this.”
