Detectives investigating the incident are continuing to appeal for witnesses.

Detective Inspector Craig Hall said:

“This remains a complex investigation and we are continuing to work extremely hard to understand the full circumstances behind this deeply tragic incident, as well as offering support to Izabela’s family.

“We have spoken to a number of people as part of our investigation but believe there are some witnesses who are yet to come forward.

“In particular, we are keen to trace three women who we understand were in the local vicinity at the time of the fire. I would like to stress they are not suspects, but it is important we speak to them as they may hold information that could be vital to our continuing investigation.

“I would also urge anyone with dash cam footage from the area before, during or after the fire broke out to please come forward if they have not already done so.

“Clearly this has been a distressing incident for the local community and officers will remain in the area to provide reassurance over the coming days.

“We remain satisfied this was an isolated incident and that there is no risk to the wider public.”

Anyone with information or has any mobile phone or dash cam footage from the incident are being asked to contact 101 quoting incident number 0584 of 1 March 2024 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
