‘River levels are beginning to recede at the Colwick river gauge. Consequently, the risk of flooding is reducing, but be cautious of standing water.
Areas most at risk are the Newark Sugar Factory and Battery including Kelham Lane, Great North Road and Kelham Bridge.
No further rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours. We expect river levels to remain high until Monday 08/01/24.
