No trains between Derby and Nottingham – line closed due to flooding

East Midlands Railway currently has no service between Derby and Nottingham.

The operator said at

‘Due to heavy rain flooding the railway, the line between Derby and Long Eaton is currently closed. Where possible, trains will divert. We are also making alternative arrangements to keep you on the move.’

‘We are currently unable to run trains between Derby and Long Eaton. Some trains may be diverted via an alternative route.

‘Services will be suspended between Derby and Nottingham.

‘At present we have no estimate of when the flooding will recede to allow the line to be safely reopened for trains to run.’
