Police have released CCTV images of a man they wish to trace after a burglary at a property in Nottingham city centre.
The 22-year-old victim returned home from work on Thursday 17 August to find that a burglar had raided his room stealing an Xbox Series S, a Google Pixel 7 and an external hard drive.
The items were worth around £860.
The victim lives in shared accommodation in Stoney Street and it is believed the burglar struck between 7.30 am to 11.30 am.
The burglar has gained entry through an unlocked door.
Detectives have carried out a number of lines of inquiry including looking at forensic opportunities as well as a wide CCTV trawl to locate the suspect.
They are now calling on the public’s help by releasing CCTV images of a man who could help them with their inquiries.
Detective Constable Natalia Montano, who is investigating the incident, said:
“The stolen items were extremely valuable to the victim, and we are determined to find the person responsible.
“Burglary is a despicable crime and is a complete invasion of someone’s safe space. This is why we take every burglary report extremely seriously.
“Since August we have been carrying out many lines of inquiry and are releasing CCTV images in the hope we can further our investigation.
“We believe the man in these images can help police with our inquiries. If you know the man in the images or are the man in the images, then please get in touch with us immediately.”
Anyone with information can call 101 quoting incident number 0837 of 17 August 2023 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
