Updated: Nottingham city road closure – concern for person’s safety

Police have closed Marian Way while they deal with an incident.

“Maid Marian Way has been closed in both directions to vehicular traffic and those travelling on foot while officers are dealing with concerns for a man’s safety.

People are advised to avoid the area while work is ongoing at the scene to bring the incident to a safe conclusion.”


 

Police said at 10:15 am on Saturday 27 July:

‘Officers were called to reports of concerns for a man’s safety in St James’s Street, Nottingham city centre, shortly after 8.30am today (Saturday 27 July).

‘Maid Marian Way has been closed one way between the junction with St James’s Street and up to Byron House/Central Police Station while the incident is being dealt with.

‘People are advised to avoid the area while work is ongoing at the scene to bring the incident to a safe conclusion.’
