Nottingham: City road reopens after incident safely resolved

Police say an incident this morning in Manvers Street in Nottingham has ended.

In an update at 8:40 am Nottinghamshire Police said:

‘This incident has now been safely resolved and the road has been reopened.’

Earlier this morning Sunday 8 September there were reports of concerns for a person’s safety – police closed Manvers Street in both directions while they dealt with the incident.

At 7:33 am they issued this statement:

‘‘Motorists are advised to avoid Manvers Street, in Nottingham city centre.

‘Officers are currently responding to concerns for someone’s safety.

‘There is no wider threat to the public.’
