Detectives investigating an armed robbery in which four e-bikes were stolen have released images of two people they’d like to trace.
A group of masked males entered Rutland Cycling, in Nottingham Road, New Basford, and used a pair of shears to remove the high-value bikes, which were cable-tied to a display.
When challenged the offenders threatened staff with the shears as well as a Stanley knife and a cycle helmet which they removed from the display and subsequently stole.
The group then made off with the e-bikes – totalling £22,200 in value – down Nottingham Road.
The robbery took place at 4.30pm on 11 June.
Detective Constable Daniel Maddick said:
“Thankfully the staff members were not hurt but this was an appalling ordeal for them and left them feeling shaken.
“We are conducting a number of lines of inquiry to trace those responsible and I would ask anyone with any information that could assist us to please get in touch.
“As part of our investigation, we are releasing images of two people we are keen to speak to in relation to this incident.
“If you recognise them, please get in touch with us as soon as possible.”
