Nottingham shop staff threatened by masked robber with a knife

Police are appealing for witnesses after shop workers were threatened by a masked offender armed with a knife during a robbery.

The offender, who was wearing a face covering, entered the Co-op in Bracebridge Drive, Bilborough, shortly before 10 pm on Tuesday (19 March 2024).

He threatened staff and demanded money out of the till before leaving with a quantity of cash. He then left the store and ran off towards the Graylands Road area.

No one was hurt during the incident. Police searched the area following the report and investigators are continuing with their inquiries into the incident, including scouring CCTV footage.

Detective Sergeant Simon Carter, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Our investigation is still in its very early stages, but we are using all available resources to track down the person responsible as this must have been a frightening incident for staff in the shop at the time.
