Nottingham’s new coffee shop with bakery and plants opens its doors

Priding itself on freshly baked sourdough, sweet treats, quality own-blend coffee and a range of delicious lunch and brunch options, including its famous Nutella croissants, Public and Plants is set to be a foodie haven.

Menu highlights include the smoked salmon served with sauce Gribiche and lemon on brown bread toast, as well as the weekend brunch which features poached egg, roast cherry tomatoes, avocado, a granola pot, chilli jam, freshly baked sourdough toast and pancetta for the meat option, or roast field mushroom for non-meat eaters.

Meanwhile, for sweet-toothed visitors, options include waffles served with pancetta and syrup, Nutella and banana, or mixed berries and honey, as well as Public’s deliciously indulgent take on the traditional bread and butter pudding, which features croissants and lashings of Nutella. As a summer special, for those looking for a cool treat during the hotter days, Public also currently has a limited edition iced tiramisu on offer, available until the end of August.

David Hallam, managing director of Public, said: “Our new Nottingham site has been months in the making, but its exciting to finally be able to open our doors. Our much-loved regular customers at our Loughborough locations have helped put us on the map as the go-to spot for the very best bakes, brunches, sourdough bread and our now famous Nutella croissants.

“Our menu is honed out of a love for quality, local sourced ingredients and age-old baking techniques, all served in an inviting environment that’s full of Public charm and character. We look forward to inviting food lovers over the coming weeks, and showing the people of Nottingham what makes us so special.”
