However, several planned roadworks, tram restrictions and public transport diversions remain in place.

‘We have just received reports of a severe car fire on the A453.
‘Due to the major congestion this has caused around East Midlands Gateway, we are currently unable to serve East Midlands Gateway with our skylink express including our skylink Nottingham.
‘Our skylink Nottingham that normally terminates at the Gateway will be currently terminating at East Midlands Airport.
‘Heading to Coalville is not affected, only by possible delay

Roads | 6 am
Traffic is generally moving normally on the main routes around Nottingham and Nottinghamshire, with no major incidents reported at the start of the morning commute.
Queens Bower Road remains closed while Nottingham City Council carries out carriageway resurfacing work.
The closure, between Hucknall Road and Bestwood Park Drive West, is scheduled to remain in place until Thursday 6 August.
Drivers should also expect delays around Bramcote Lane in Wollaton, where resurfacing work and associated restrictions are affecting traffic until Friday 28 August.
Trams | 6 am
Trams are not operating between Wilkinson Street and The Forest because of planned track replacement work.
A replacement bus service is running between the two stops.
Tram services continue to operate on the remainder of the network, although passengers travelling through the affected section should allow additional time.
The work is scheduled to continue until Sunday 9 August, with normal services expected to resume on Monday 10 August.
Rail | 6 am
No major unplanned disruption is currently being reported by East Midlands Railway.
Planned engineering work is affecting some late-night and early-morning services between Nottingham and Derby and on routes to and from London St Pancras.
The alterations are in place until Friday 7 August. Passengers travelling on the first or last trains of the day should check their journey before setting off.
Further disruption is expected on Saturday 8 August because of strike action. A significantly reduced service will operate to and from London St Pancras, with trains beginning after 07:00 and finishing before 19:00.
Buses | 6 am
Pink 30 buses are continuing to divert because of the resurfacing work on Bramcote Lane in Wollaton.
Stops around Wollaton Park and Wollaton Village are affected, with buses using Russell Drive, Trowell Road and Wollaton Vale.
Blue 40A buses are also continuing to use a revised route at Nottingham City Hospital because Linden Way remains closed. Services are terminating and departing from the Radiotherapy stop on North Road.
One-way closures on Nottingham Road in Mansfield are affecting trentbarton’s 90 service.
The closure towards Ripley is scheduled to remain in place until Friday 14 August. Stops at Atkin Lane, Harlow Avenue, Forest Hill, West Nottinghamshire College, NTU Mansfield Hub and Amazon are among those affected.
An overnight closure of the A61 Alfreton Road in Derby will also affect trentbarton’s nines service from tonight.
The road will close between 21:00 and 04:00 from Wednesday 5 August until Friday 7 August for maintenance work, with a number of stops temporarily missed.
