Traffic is building up around the A453 at the EMG turn.
Trent Barton buses said at 2 pm:
‘We have just received reports of a severe car fire on the A453.
‘Due to the major congestion this has caused around East Midlands Gateway, we are currently unable to serve East Midlands Gateway with our skylink express including our skylink Nottingham.
‘Our skylink Nottingham that normally terminates at the Gateway will be currently terminating at East Midlands Airport.
‘Heading to Coalville is not affected, only by possible delay
‘Our skylink express is diverting via the A50 currently.’
