Queueing traffic on A617 both ways from B6407 Common Lane to A6191 Chesterfield Road North. In the construction area.
Traffic is flowing normally on the M1, A52, A46, A610, A453 and Nottingham Ring Road, with only the usual increase in commuter traffic expected through the morning peak.
Roads
Motorists should continue to allow extra time where long-term roadworks remain in place, including:
- A612 Lowdham to Bulcote improvement works
- Bramcote Lane roadworks
- Cockington Road, Bilborough
- London Road, Newark
- Various works around Arnold and Woodthorpe
Traffic is moving normally through these locations at present, although delays may build during the morning commute.
Motorways
There are no reported incidents affecting the M1 through Nottinghamshire this morning. Drivers travelling further south should note there is a separate major incident on the M1 in Northamptonshire, where the northbound carriageway is closed between Junctions 16 and 18 following an overturned lorry. This is not expected to affect journeys within Nottinghamshire unless travelling towards Northampton later today.
Buses
Most bus services across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire are operating as normal this morning, with some routes remaining on planned diversions because of ongoing roadworks. Passengers are advised to check with their operator before travelling if using services through current roadwork locations.
Trams
NET is reporting a normal service across all tram lines this morning.
Rail
East Midlands Railway services are currently running without any major reported disruption affecting Nottingham. Passengers should continue to check before travelling in case of any late changes.
