Nottinghamshire weather for Friday 7 August

Friday 7 August is forecast to be dry and settled, with a bright start, more cloud through the middle of the day and temperatures reaching around 23C during the late afternoon and early evening.

The chance of rain remains below 5% throughout.

Early morning

Friday will start cool, dry and bright, with some sunny intervals. Temperatures are expected to be around 10C at 6am, rising to 12C by 7am and 14C by 8am.

Winds will be light, coming mainly from the south-west at around 2mph. Gusts are expected to stay modest, between around 8mph and 9mph.

Visibility will be good at first, improving to very good by around 7am. Humidity will be fairly high early on, around 82% at 6am, easing to 73% by 8am. The chance of rain remains below 5%.

Midday

Late morning and lunchtime will stay dry, with bright spells and increasing cloud at times.

Temperatures are forecast to rise from 18C at 10am to 20C by 11am and remain around 20C at midday. The “feels like” temperature will be close to the actual temperature, around 18C to 19C.

Winds will come from the west-south-west or south-west at around 3mph to 5mph, with gusts increasing to around 17mph by late morning and lunchtime.

Visibility will remain very good, while humidity will fall to around 40% by midday. UV levels will become moderate to high, reaching 6 around late morning and lunchtime, so sun protection may still be needed during brighter spells.

Afternoon

The afternoon is expected to be dry and warm, although cloud is likely at times.

Temperatures are forecast to reach 21C by 1pm, 22C by 2pm, 3pm and 4pm, before rising slightly to around 23C by 5pm and 6pm.

The “feels like” temperature will be around 20C to 23C during the afternoon and early evening. Winds will remain light, mainly from the south-west, at around 3mph to 5mph. Gusts are expected to stay around 13mph to 17mph.

Visibility will remain very good. Humidity will stay steady at around 40% through much of the afternoon. The chance of rain remains below 5%.

Evening

The evening will stay dry and mild, with sunny spells early on before clearer conditions develop later.

Temperatures are expected to ease from around 22C at 7pm and 8pm to 20C by 9pm. It will become cooler later, falling to 19C by 10pm and 17C by 11pm.

Winds will be light and variable, coming from the south-west, south-south-west, west and then northerly later in the evening, generally around 3mph. Gusts are expected to remain low, around 10mph to 11mph.

Visibility will remain very good throughout. Humidity will rise from around 40% early in the evening to 56% by 11pm. The chance of rain remains below 5% throughout the evening.
