Nottinghamshire weather for Monday 24 August

Monday 24 August is forecast to be dry, bright and mild, with temperatures rising from a cool start to around 21C during the afternoon.

It will become breezier from the east, with excellent visibility developing later in the day.

Early morning

Monday will start dry and cool, with clear spells or sunny conditions during the early morning.

Temperatures are expected to be around 11C at 5am, dipping to 10C by 6am, before rising to 11C at 7am and 13C by 8am.

The chance of rain remains below 5% throughout the early morning.

Winds will be very light, mainly from the east-north-east at around 2mph. Gusts are expected to stay low, between around 8mph and 9mph.

Visibility will be very good. Humidity will be high at first, around 82% to 83%, before easing to around 75% by 8am.

Midday

Late morning and lunchtime will stay dry with sunny spells and some cloud.

Temperatures are forecast to rise from 16C at 9am to 18C by 10am, 19C at 11am and 20C by midday. The “feels like” temperature will be close to the actual temperature, though slightly lower at times.

The chance of rain remains below 5%.

Winds will strengthen through the morning, coming from the east at around 3mph to 7mph. Gusts are expected to rise from around 13mph at 9am to 23mph by midday.

Visibility will improve from very good to excellent by late morning. Humidity will fall from around 66% at 9am to 42% by midday. UV levels will become moderate, reaching around 5 late in the morning and around lunchtime.

Afternoon

The afternoon is expected to be dry, bright and mild, with sunny intervals and patches of cloud.

Temperatures are forecast to reach around 21C from 1pm through to 5pm, though it may feel closer to 19C during the late afternoon.

The chance of rain stays below 5% throughout the afternoon.

Winds will come from the east at around 7mph to 9mph. Gusts will be more noticeable, reaching around 24mph to 28mph at times.

Visibility will be excellent through the afternoon. Humidity will stay fairly low, around 40% to 52%. UV levels will gradually ease from moderate during the early afternoon to low by late afternoon.

Evening

The evening will remain mostly dry, with cloudier skies developing later.

Temperatures are expected to fall from around 20C at 6pm to 19C at 7pm, 18C at 8pm and 17C by 9pm. It will become cooler later, dropping to around 16C by 10pm and 11pm.

The chance of rain remains below 5% for most of the evening, rising slightly to around 10% by 11pm.

Winds will continue from the east and east-north-east, easing from around 9mph early in the evening to around 6mph by 11pm. Gusts will fall from around 28mph at 6pm to around 18mph by late evening.

Visibility will be excellent for much of the evening before becoming very good later. Humidity will rise from around 54% at 6pm to 77% by 11pm.
