Nottinghamshire weather for Sunday 16 August

Sunday 16 August is forecast to be mostly cloudy but mild, with the highest chance of rain during the morning before conditions turn drier and brighter later.

Temperatures are expected to reach around 23C in the early evening.

Early morning

Sunday will begin cloudy and fairly cool, with temperatures around 13C at 5am, dipping to 12C by 6am before rising to 13C at 7am and 15C by 8am.

The chance of rain is low at first, around 10% at 6am and 20% at 7am, before rising to around 50% by 8am.

Winds will be very light, mainly from the west-north-west at around 1mph to 2mph. Gusts are expected to remain low, between around 4mph and 9mph.

Visibility will remain very good. Humidity will be fairly high early on, around 77%, easing slightly to 74% by 8am.

Midday

Late morning and lunchtime will remain cloudy, although the chance of rain will gradually ease.

Temperatures are forecast to rise from 17C at 10am to 18C by 11am and 20C by midday. The “feels like” temperature will be close to the actual temperature, around 17C to 19C.

The chance of rain falls from around 30% at 10am to 20% by 11am and midday.

Winds will remain light from the west-north-west at around 2mph, with gusts around 9mph. Visibility will stay very good, while humidity will fall from around 67% at 10am to 55% by midday.

UV levels will rise to moderate levels, reaching around 4 late in the morning and at lunchtime.

Afternoon

The afternoon is expected to stay mostly cloudy but mild, with some brighter spells developing later.

Temperatures are forecast to reach 21C by 1pm and 22C from 2pm to 4pm. The “feels like” temperature will be very similar, around 21C to 22C.

The chance of rain is around 20% at 1pm, rising briefly to 30% by 2pm, before falling to 20% at 3pm and 10% by 4pm.

Winds will come from the west-north-west or north-west at around 3mph to 5mph, with gusts increasing to around 17mph by mid-afternoon.

Visibility will remain very good. Humidity will stay around 45% to 51% through the afternoon. UV levels will be moderate, peaking around 5 early in the afternoon before easing later.

Evening

The evening will be mostly dry, with cloud and some sunny intervals early on.

Temperatures are expected to reach around 23C at 5pm, before easing to 22C at 6pm and 7pm, then 21C by 8pm. It will stay mild later, falling to 20C at 9pm and around 19C by 10pm and 11pm.

The chance of rain is around 10% from 5pm to 8pm, falling below 5% at 9pm and 10pm before returning to around 10% by 11pm.

Winds will come from the north-west or north-north-west, generally around 3mph to 5mph. Gusts will ease from around 17mph early in the evening to around 8mph by 11pm.

Visibility will remain very good throughout. Humidity will rise gradually from around 43% early in the evening to 57% by 11pm.
