Nottinghamshire weather for Sunday 23 August

Sunday 23 August is forecast to be dry, bright and mild, with temperatures rising from a cool start to around 21C by late afternoon.

Cloud will increase at times, but the chance of rain stays very low throughout the day.

Early morning

Sunday will begin cool and dry, with some clear or bright conditions early on.

Temperatures are expected to be around 9C at 5am and 6am, rising to 10C by 7am and 11C by 8am. The “feels like” temperature may dip to around 8C at 6am before recovering.

The chance of rain remains below 5% through the early morning.

Winds will be very light, coming from the north-west, west and west-north-west at around 2mph. Gusts will remain low, between around 6mph and 7mph.

Visibility will be mainly very good, although it may be good around 6am. Humidity will be high at first, around 86% to 87%, before easing to around 81% by 8am.

Midday

Late morning and lunchtime will be dry with sunny spells and some cloud.

Temperatures are forecast to rise from 15C at 10am to 17C by 11am and 18C by midday. The “feels like” temperature will be close to the actual temperature.

The chance of rain remains below 5%.

Winds will stay light, mainly from the west and west-north-west at around 2mph. Gusts are expected to remain around 9mph.

Visibility will remain very good, while humidity will fall from around 68% at 10am to 52% by midday. UV levels will be moderate to high, reaching around 6 at lunchtime.

Afternoon

The afternoon is expected to stay dry and mild, with sunny intervals and some areas of cloud.

Temperatures are forecast to reach 19C at 1pm, 20C at 2pm and 3pm, then around 21C by 4pm and 5pm. It should feel close to the actual temperature, although slightly cooler at times.

The chance of rain stays below 5% throughout the afternoon.

Winds will turn from north-north-west to north, north-north-east and then north-east, remaining light at around 2mph to 3mph. Gusts will range from around 9mph to 12mph.

Visibility will remain very good. Humidity will stay fairly low for much of the afternoon, around 40% to 41%. UV levels will ease from moderate to low later in the afternoon.

Evening

The evening will remain dry, mild at first and then cooler later.

Temperatures are expected to be around 21C at 5pm and 6pm, falling to 20C by 7pm and 19C by 8pm. It will become cooler later, dropping to 18C at 9pm, 16C by 10pm and 15C by 11pm.

The chance of rain remains below 5% throughout the evening.

Winds will come from the east-north-east and east, generally around 3mph to 6mph. Gusts will peak at around 16mph early in the evening before easing to around 12mph by 11pm.

Visibility will remain very good throughout. Humidity will rise from around 40% early in the evening to 67% by 11pm.
