Early morning

Midday
Through late morning and into midday, conditions will remain mostly cloudy and cold. The risk of rain will gradually increase to around 20 to 30 per cent by midday. Temperatures will rise slightly to around 3°C to 4°C. Winds will remain brisk from the east-north-east at around 14 mph, maintaining a wintry feel.
Afternoon
During the afternoon, rain will become increasingly likely, with probabilities rising to 40 to 70 per cent by mid to late afternoon. Temperatures will hold at around 4°C. Winds will stay moderate from the east-north-east at around 12 to 14 mph, with gusts near 25 mph in exposed areas, adding to the cold and damp conditions.
Evening
In the evening, rain will become more widespread and persistent, with probabilities increasing to 70 to 90 per cent. Temperatures will remain low, around 3°C, with some areas feeling close to freezing despite the rain. Winds will ease slightly but remain from the north-east, bringing a cold, wet and uncomfortable end to the day.
