Winds strengthen slightly, becoming steady from the south-south-west at around 14–15mph. Despite the clouds, visibility remains very good.
Afternoon
Rain probability rises sharply into the early afternoon, reaching around 60–70 per cent from 1pm to 3pm. Temperatures peak around 11C at midday before slipping back toward 9C by 3pm. Winds remain fresh from the south-west at around 14–15mph, bringing damp, milder air across the county. Some brief brighter spells are still possible between showers.
