BREAKING: ‘Number of people injured’ after bus crashes into shop in Nottingham

Upper Parliament Street is closed after a collision between two buses.

Officers from Nottinghamshire Police were called just before 4.10 pm today (9 September) to a report of a collision between two buses where one of the buses went into a shop.

A number of people are reported to have received injuries, none of which are believed to be life-threatening or life-altering.

Officers are currently at the scene managing traffic and establishing the circumstances around the incident.

Anyone who saw what happened who has not already come forward should call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 497 of 9 September 2020.

A spokesperson for Nottingham City Transport said: “There are delays and disruption to all services due to an RTC on Parliament Street in the City Centre.

“Please use the following stops to board buses. If your service is not listed, please use your usual stop.

“Green 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 – Angel Row, Broadmarsh or Railway Station

“Lilac 25, 26, 27 – King Street only

“Orange 34 – Angel Row only

“Blue 39, 40, 41, 42 – Queen Street only

“Red 43, 44 – King Street only

“Navy 49 – Angel Row, Broadmarsh or Railway Station

“Grey 50 – Angel Row or Broadmarsh

“Turquoise 77, 78, 79 – Upper Parliament Street, West End Arcade.”
