Severn Trent was alerted to ‘third-party’ damage to a water main at 2 pm on Friday 14 August.
Water is pouring from the ground at a fast rate and the footpaths nearby have been closed.
The latest from them is the statement below at 4:05 pm:
‘We’ve been made aware of accidental third-party damage to one of our larger pipes in Nottingham, which is affecting the water supply for some of our customers. Our teams are out investigating the extent of the damage and are working hard to try and restore water supplies as soon as possible.
Once your water returns you may notice it is slightly discoloured, this is nothing to worry about and will clear on its own. We’ll know more once the teams have had chance to fully assess the situation on site.
Thank you for your patience as we work on this repair.’
