A brand new Mediterranean wood-fired kitchen and family restaurant opening this month.
Strezza is a beautifully laid out, light and airy family restaurant specialising in wood-fired pizza and tapas.
A Mediterranean kitchen and family restaurant based in the newly refurbished Cotgrave centre, they’ll be serving Neapolitan style pizzas, dishes inspired from across the Mediterranean and daily specials using locally sourced ingredients.
The restaurant plans to be open for breakfast too from December.
Strezza will also be serving delicious cocktails, wines, beer, 200 Degrees coffee and more, all inspired by the Mediterranean and made in Nottinghamshire.
Chef and co-owner Richard Miller, has over 30 years experience as a Chef and was the head chef of Felicini in Central Avenue, West Bridgford, which later became Mud Crab.
Richard explained that all ingredients are completely authentic and purchased from specialist Italian food suppliers, nothing is compromised – the team behind the brand are dedicated to doing whatever it takes to get the product the best it can be.
This includes the centrepiece – a stunning bespoke wood-fired pizza oven, which allows pizza to be cooked in around 90 seconds and operates at 500˚C…and you can watch it all happening in the open kitchen.
Seating is based on comfort and includes sofas and more traditional tables and chairs with lots of space to take in the ambience.
Co-owner Alex Fuge owns and operates several venues across Nottingham. The nearest one to Strezza is the popular Parlour in West Bridgford.
Alex told us:
‘Between us both, we bring a vast amount of experience, which we’ll be using to make Strezza a successful venue.
‘We’re a family-run wood fired kitchen and restaurant serving brilliant food in a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere.
‘We’re all about championing amazing local produce, always bringing something new to our menus and in turn – hope you’ll make new discoveries for your tables and tastebuds at home too.’
The business has created 20 local jobs from in and around the Cotgrave and Rushcliffe areas.
Strezza is located at Cotgrave Hub and opens on 19 November.
