Pictures: West Bridgford’s The Stalls market has a fantastic first day

The Stalls monthly market in West Bridgford had high visitor numbers for its first day in the town.

Hundreds visited the first monthly market today 4 March 2023.

The Stalls is a collaboration between two West Bridgford-based makers, Virender Rose (Lady Bay Pop up café) and Jo McAree (Just Jo Design).

From 11-5 pm on the first Saturday of every month, there will be independent micro-food businesses and some of the Midlands’ finest independent makers and creators.

Uniquely, each market will see a collection of different stalls, rather than the same creators each time.

Over the coming months, there will be a diverse mix of street food stands and take-home foods.

Work from professional silversmiths, ceramic artists, graphic designers and illustrators including homewares, clothing, art prints, jewellery, accessories, pottery and glassware will be on display too.

We went along to meet all of the stall holders for pictures, hopefully, we caught every stall that was there.

Unlike farmers’ markets, The Stalls will be open 11 am -5 pm, and there’ll be an e-commerce site too, allowing you to still buy once the stalls are packed away.

Jo and Virender were delighted at the turnout at the Croquet Lawn on the first-ever market day.
